Star Indian allrounder Shivam Dube has been out of the T20I series against Bangladesh because of a back injury. The series is going to start today at Gwalior. Young allrounder Tilak Verma has replaced him in the team for the exciting three-match T20I series. As per BCCI media release, "All-rounder Shivam Dube is ruled out of the three-match T20I series owing to a back injury. The Senior Selection Committee has named Tilak Varma as Shivam’s replacement. Tilak will link up with the squad in Gwalior on Sunday morning," Shivan Dube was part of India Team in the 2024 T20 World Cup and played an important role for the team in the middle order. Later he also played T20I series against Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka. But now he will not be able to continue with the team because of his back injury. Tilak Varma, who has impressed everyone in his short international career, is all set to replace Dube in the team. Now, given that Varma hasn't really been trusted with the ball so far, it would be intriguing to see how Gautam Gambhir & Co. manage its resources in terms of the fifth bowling option.
