The Indian Cricket Team has resumed practicing in the nets at Adelaide on Tuesday morning; however, Jasprit Bumrah is a major miss there. In both Perth and Adelaide, Bumrah had been the leading bowler, thus his skipping the practice sparks the possible reason—workload management. India will play the third Test later this week on December 14, at Gabba, and understandably the vice-captain needs enough rest to start on again. Despite the team struggling collectively, Bumrah took eight wickets in the first Test and 4 crucial wickets at Adelaide when the rest of the bowlers miserably struggled. It is time to look ahead. The Indian cricket team is unlikely to make changes to its batting order for the upcoming Gabba Test, as observed during the practice session on December 10 in Adelaide. The session saw openers KL Rahul and Yashasvi Jaiswal leading the nets, suggesting they will continue opening for the next three Tests. This means the middle order, including Rohit Sharma at No. 5, remains unchanged. However During practice, Rishabh Pant was struck on the helmet, causing a brief pause in his session, though he resumed shortly after receiving medical attention. Teammates KL Rahul and Virat Kohli, who were practicing nearby, also checked on Pant. Kohli, after struggling in Adelaide despite a century in Perth, focused on improving his backfoot technique, addressing issues with his front foot press and outside-edge dismissals. India’s third Test against Australia is scheduled for December 14 at the Gabba, Brisbane.
