The ILT20 2025-26 had its share of drama when Kieron Pollard and Naseem Shah found themselves in a fiery exchange. It all kicked off during the MI Emirates innings when Naseem, full of intensity, bowled the last delivery of the 11th over. A video shared by ILT20 on social media showed Pollard starting the confrontation, and Naseem wasn’t about to back down. The on-field umpires had to step in to calm things down. But the tension didn’t stop there. Later in the innings, Pollard was seen saying something to Naseem again while standing at the non-striker's end, though this time, Naseem chose to stay silent. The drama reached its peak on the very first ball of the 17th over when Naseem took Pollard’s wicket, with the latter being caught by substitute fielder Sanjay Pahal. Pollard made his way back to the pavilion after scoring 28 runs off 28 balls, which included two fours. This dismissal pretty much sealed the deal for MI Emirates in what turned out to be a one-sided final. Captain Sam Curran led the charge with an impressive unbeaten 74 off 51 balls, hitting two sixes and six fours. He maintained the momentum, forming a crucial partnership of 89 runs for the third wicket with Max Holden, who contributed 41 runs off 32 balls. Curran also added 57 runs with Dan Lawrence, who chipped in with a quick 23 off 15. MI Emirates struggled throughout their chase. Muhammad Waseem’s quick 26 off 13 balls provided a brief glimmer of hope, while Shakib Al Hasan tried to stabilize the innings with a 36-run effort, but it just wasn’t enough. The required run rate kept climbing, and the lack of solid partnerships highlighted the gap between the two teams that night. Desert Vipers' bowlers made sure there was no late-game excitement. Naseem and David Payne both took three wickets, striking at crucial moments, while Khuzaima Tanveer and Usman Tariq chipped in with two wickets each. MI Emirates ended up bowled out for 136 in just 18.3 overs, suffering a 46-run defeat.
