A team of the International Cricket Council (ICC) will arrive in Lahore from 10-12 November, to take a look at plans for hosting the 2025 Champions Trophy. During that visit, an event is planned to announce key details of the tournament including the schedule. According to Pakistani media, the schedule of ICC Champions Trophy 2025 has already been shared with all the member countries of the ICC. This visit will help the ICC team to assess the logistical and organizational plans of the tournament. An official event on November 11 will be held with influential personalities such as cricketers, who are likely to attend. Groups and India's involvement Pakistan is placed in Group A with India, Bangladesh, and New Zealand according to the schedule. Group B will have England, South Africa, Australia, and Afghanistan. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) awaits clearance from the Indian government before it allows India to play the series played in Pakistan. The Indian games in Lahore India will play their matches at Lahore. The first match will be against Bangladesh on 20th February followed by a New Zealand match on 23rd February, at the same venue. India-Pakistan's much-awaited match will take place at Lahore on 1st March. Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi have been chosen as the venues and Lahore will host seven games with the final one there. Karachi will stage the first match and one of the semi-finals. Five matches will be played at Rawalpindi which also includes one semi-final. March 5 and 6 have been designated for the two semi-finals and March 9 will be the date of the final in Lahore.
