The Annual Conference of the International Cricket Council (ICC) took place in Singapore, where the Board was updated on progress regarding support to displaced women cricketers of Afghani origin. This work is being progressed through a joint initiative spearheaded by the ICC, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), and Cricket Australia (CA), guided under ICC Deputy Chair Imran Khwaja. The programme seeks to provide structured support in the form of high-performance programs, local playing opportunities, and participation at the major ICC global events like the ICC Women's Cricket World Cup 2025 in India and the ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 in England. With respect to USA Cricket, the ICC reaffirmed its earlier stance and made it clear that the organisation is still on notice. USA Cricket must implement extensive governance reforms such as but not limited to conducting free and fair elections within three months. The Board does retain the right to take appropriate actions at its discretion.
