The International Cricket Council (ICC) has canceled the Champions Trophy Tour as planned by the host country, Pakistan, scheduled from November 16 to 24. The trophy was supposed to visit cities like Skardu, Murree, and Muzaffarabad, which fall under Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) issued objections to this move, resulting in the ICC canceling the nationwide trophy tour. The Champions Trophy is returning to the cricket calendar after seven years. Presently, Pakistan's hosting rights are uncertain, as India has refused to travel across the border, citing security concerns. However, Pakistan waved off all the claims and clarified their firm position regarding hosting the entire tournament in three cities—Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi. India's refusal has created clouds over Pakistan's hosting rights, with reports claiming that South Africa will host the tournament if Pakistan can't. Previously, ICC postponed another event that marked the "100 days left" for ICC, to be held in Lahore.
