The ICC announced the prize money for the upcoming Women's T20 World Cup 2024 that is scheduled to take place in the UAE next month. The winning amount for this year will be USD 7,958,080 which is more than double of the last year's prize money The winning team of the T20 World Cup 2024 will get a whopping USD 2.34 million as prize money. That is an enormous leap from what the Australian champions received last year, at an amount of USD 1 million. Each of the teams which will qualify for the semis will now receive USD 675,000, thrice that of the amount received last year. Teams will also attract money in case they win the games in the group stage. For every win, teams will get USD 31,154 much more than the USD 17,500 which they received the last year. Even if a team doesn't win a match in the group stage, they won't be leaving empty-handed. All 10 teams will receive a base prize of USD 112,500, adding up to USD 1.125 million. So, every team will be supported because they've come to play, regardless of what they are doing. Teams which finish at places five to eight will earn each USD 270,000. Those who will finish in ninth and tenth places will earn each USD 135,000. These changes signify that the ICC really cares for women's cricket and wanted to help all the teams and players.
