Recent tensions between India and Pakistan reached a boiling point, leading to the cancellation of both the IPL and PSL events. The state of chaos caused foreign players to prioritize their well-being and attempt to leave the region as quickly as they could. Several foreign players stuck in Pakistan made their way to Dubai. According to an update from Bangladesh spinner Rishad Hossain, New Zealand's Daryl Mitchell was very upset and said he will never return to Pakistan. Rishad stated to Cricbuzz at the Dubai Airport: “Foreign players like Sam Billings, Daryl Mitchell, Kushal Perera, David Wiese, Tom Curran… all of them were so frightened… Landing in Dubai, Mitchell told me that he would never go to Pakistan again, especially in this kind of scenario. Overall, they were all horrified.” Rishad further noted that England's Tom Curran was very emotional and even shed tears during the crisis. Then he started crying like a little child, that it took two or three people to handle him,” he added. While India and Pakistan have now reached a ceasefire, both cricketing leagues remain suspended. As for the IPL, officials said it is suspended for a week, and there will be a conclusive decision after that week.
