The third Test between India and England at Lord's is warming up, and not necessarily because of the sweltering London heat. After an evenly balanced first session on Day 1, the Indian fast bowlers mounted up the pressure and made it very tough for the English batters in the 2nd session. England, who are known for their aggressive batting under coach Brendon McCullum, they famously referred to as the "BazBall" technique, were utterly strangled in the second session. Between 27.2 and 31.5 overs, England were unable to score even one run, that's 28 dot balls in a row! Mohammed Siraj, who usually contributes energy both with the ball and with his body language, made full use of the situation. Having bowled the fifth ball of the 31st over, a dot ball to Joe Root again, Siraj approached him and said teasingly, "Baz, Baz, Bazball. Play Bazball. I want to see." Siraj spoke it very casually with a smile, and Joe Root responded with a normal look. It was a humorous moment in an otherwise tense match. Though Siraj's comment was tongue-in-cheek, it indicated India's dominance at the time. England, normally fluently batting, appeared reluctant and set. This small exchange provided some levity for spectators, particularly on social media, where the clip went viral within no time. Although, England has not lost any wicket and the partnership between Ollie Pope and Joe Root is closing in to 100, Indian bowlers will be happy with the discipline in their bowling. Amidst this tough session, Joe Root has reached yet another milestone. The English stalwart has completed 3,000 against India, becoming the first player to do so against India. This is also only the third instances in non-Ashes Tests since Gary Sobers vs England (3214 runs) and Sachin Tendulkar (3630 runs).
