Mumbai Indians suffered a 12-run defeat to Lucknow Super Giants on Friday. At one stage, the team appeared to be in a strong position at 152/3, thanks to Suryakumar Yadav’s impressive 43-ball 67. However, once he was dismissed, the chase began to falter. Hardik Pandya attempted to steer MI to victory until the final delivery, but the target eventually proved just out of reach. Pandya remained unbeaten with 28 off 16 deliveries, but MI still ended up falling short by 12 runs. Speaking to the commentators after the match, Hardik Pandya took responsibility for the loss. "As a batting unit, we feel short. We win as the team, we lose as the team. As far as the batting is concerned, I take full ownership for the loss," said Pandya. Pandya also pointed out the team's performance in the field. According to him, saving an extra 10-20 runs could have turned the match in MI's favour. "If we had to be honest, we gave 10-12 runs extra in the field on this pitch. That's it, we fell short eventually in the end," he said.
