Gujarat Titans' left-arm spinner Sai Kishore is assured of his Indian cricket future. The 28-year-old feels that he is among the top spinners in the country today and is getting himself ready to make a contribution as a multi-functional cricketer. In an interview with ANI, Kishore stated: "I am definitely working on my batting and fielding. Not just these things, even my bowling with that regard to be multi-skilful if I can say that. I feel I am one of the best spinners in the country going around. I have already told this, and I really believe, and with all humility, I feel that. Rahman IPL Journey and Domestic Success Sai Kishore received his first IPL contract with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in 2020 but did not feature in a match. He then switched to Gujarat Titans in 2022, who signed him for ₹3 crores. Kishore made his debut in that season and led the team to the IPL title. Ever since, he has been one of their most important spinners, having taken 32 wickets in 25 games at a mean of 20.34. In Indian cricket at home, Kishore has performed wonders for Tamil Nadu. He was crucial for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, the Ranji Trophy, and the Duleep Trophy. In Ranji 2022, Kishore topped the wicket list for Tamil Nadu with 29 wickets from six games with two five-fors. He then excelled in the Duleep Trophy with a four-wicket haul during the final for South Zone. Though he got limited chances at the international level, he still hopes to break into the core team. He also mentioned the shift in batting strategy against spinners: "The way of playing spin has changed. People now are very fearless, and they like to attack the spinner rather than just grinding the spinner. I feel in the upcoming Test series, Indian batters will be up for the challenge, and they will be playing spin much better than what the stats actually say. We are one of the best spin playing nations in the whole world right now." India will play a two-match Test series against West Indies from October 2 in Ahmedabad, where Kishore will be keeping a close eye on the match awaiting another opportunity in the national colours.
