Former England captain Michael Vaughan said that if MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, and Virat Kohli were in the same IPL team, he would choose to "get rid of" Virat Kohli. In a podcast with cricket.com, former English skipper and Australian wicketkeeper Adam Gilchrist had to take a tough decision where they have Dhoni, Rohit, and Kohli on the same IPL team. They had to pick one player to play, one to bench, and one to release. Vaughan said he would definitely play Dhoni and make him the captain. Dhoni, Rohit, and Kohli are some of the biggest stars of Indian cricket, attracting humongous fan followings just because they help win matches. Vaughan said while speaking on the podcast, "I'm playing MS Dhoni. I don't think anyone's been better. No (Virat doesn't find a place). MS is the captain. Vaughan said, "What was the other thing? selling? I'm getting rid of Virat. I'm getting rid of him because he's never won the IPL. Rohit is a six-time winner. MS how many? Five! So I'm playing MS, I'm selling Virat. What was the other one? He even said, "I can get a good load of cash for him (Kohli). He'll go somewhere else for a huge amount of money. That's good business," Gilchrist agreed with Vaughan but said that it is not easy to choose between the three great players. Gilchrist said, "That's well thought through (by Vaughan). You're splitting hair, it's tough on all, but that's the job of a manager, isn't it," The IPL teams are getting ready for the big auction for the 2025 season.
