Hyderabad Cricket Association President A Jagan Mohan Rao has been arrested by the Telangana Crime Investigation Department following multiple allegations of selling tickets. The chaos started when the state-based franchise Sunrisers Hyderabad lodged a complaint to Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, citing Rao's superficial behaviors regarding tickets. SRH claimed that Rao cunningly locked the F# corporate box hours before their match against Lucknow Super Giants on MArch 27. Notably, the box was allotted for the LSG owner, Sanjiv Goenka. Not only that, Rao is alleged to have demanded complimentary tickets by using pressure and threats. As per the allegations, he demanded almost 20 extra complimentary tickets. SRH then threatened the Telangana government to shift their homeground from the state, and that rang the real bell. CM Reddy issued an inquiry, with Director General Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy leading the procedure. And following that, the Telangana CID got proof of pressure tactics and arrested jagan Mohan Rao on Wednesday, July 9.
