Having been asked to bat first by Sanju Samson, DC managed 188 runs at the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. Responding, RR too made 188 runs, and the result came down to a Super Over. To remain in the hunt for the playoffs, they need to win a minimum of six of these last seven games left. In previous seasons of IPL, teams have qualified for the playoffs with 14 points, but that is not guaranteed. To be absolutely certain of qualifying for the top four, RR will need to target finishing with 16 points, i.e., winning six out of the next seven games. The road ahead is tough, but not impossible. RR will require their main guys to rise to the occasion and put in consistent performances if they wish to keep their playoff chances alive.
