Rishabh Pant created history as he emerged the costliest player in IPL history after Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) bid a record-breaking Rs 27 crore for him at the mega auction for IPL 2025. Pant's price went above expectations as he went on to be the highest buy for the tournament. Delhi Capitals (DC) used their Right To Match (RTM) to bring back Pant for Rs 20.75 crore when LSG first placed the initial bid for Pant. However, when the bid amount increased by LSG to Rs 27 crore, DC did not exercise its right to match for that bid, and the cricketer moved on to his new team. Pant has made an astonishing recovery from a near-fatal car accident in 2022 and is expected to lead Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2025. The season will start on March 14, 2025. Pant's Net Salary After Tax Deduction The total amount of Pant's three-year contract works out to Rs 27 crore. However, Pant will have a significant tax deduction of Rs 8.1 crore payable to the Indian government. Netting this out, Pant will be taking in a gross salary of Rs 18.9 crore over the duration of his three-year contract with LSG.
