Match 26 of IPL 2025 sees Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans face off against each other at the Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. The home skipper Rishabh Pant won the toss and chose to bowl first but it was a huge setback for the home side when Pant said that Mitchell Marsh has been replaced by Himmat Singh. Marsh's absence could prove to be a huge loss for LSG as he has been in red-hot form at the top of the order for them. Pant said that Marsh's daughter is unwell and he is taking care of her. So, LSG have brought in Himmat Singh instead of Marsh and it will be interesting to see who opens the innings with Markram. Marsh has been in prolific form for LSG this season and has had his best IPL season already with 265 runs in 5 innings including 4 half-centuries. Will Rishabh Pant open? With Marsh missing out, the question now for LSG is who will open the innings along with Aiden Markram. The onus will now be even more on the likes of Nicholas Pooran and Aiden Markram at the top but also on the LSG skipper Rishabh Pant who has had a horrid time with the bat scoring just 19 runs in 5 innings so far. Will he promote himself up the order and come out to open getting a bit more freedom at the top? Marsh has been replaced by IPL debutant Himmat Singh who is a 28-year old from Delhi who is a regular in the domestic circuit who could also be an option at the top.
