An India-born person living in Dubai has succumbed to a heartbreaking death while playing a routine cricket match in Dubai. The victim, named Mohammed Safwan Shanu, lived in Dubai for the last 15 years and has his usual routine, playing cricket before collapsing on the ground. According to reports, the incident happened on Sunday morning around 7 am; he was initially given CPR on the field by his teammates. He was then rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead. What happened to Mohammed Safwan Shanu? Speaking to a local news outlet, Khaleej Times, a friend of Mohammed Safwan Shanu, Safwan Nabeel Karikal, informed that he noticed no abnormalities in his friend. Shanu had his usual routine. They met on Saturday evening and went to buy fish and groceries from the Waterfront Market. They even travelled in the same car together on Sunday morning to the cricket field. Karikal said, “We play cricket every Sunday morning, and this has become our routine for years. On Saturday evening, we went to the Waterfront Market to buy fish and groceries. He was perfectly fine. The next morning, we even travelled together in the same car to the ground, and everything was normal." Karikal explained that Shanu was batting when he suddenly lost consciousness. His teammates immediately called the ambulance while performing CPR on him. But all efforts went in vain. "Safwan suddenly collapsed and lost consciousness while batting. We immediately called for an ambulance. CPR was performed, and he was rushed to the hospital. Shanu is actually an Indian born in Bhatkal, Karnataka. The 88-year-old man lived in the UAE for the last 15 years, building his business after he left his private office. While his parents lived in India, he had a wife and four children who lived with him in Dubai. His last child was a daughter who was born just four months ago. Apart from his work, he was a regular participant in community cricket, leading teams and winning multiple awards. Shanu's parents expressed their interest in attending his funeral but lacked UAE visas. His relatives are helping them to get the necessary documents.
