Rohit Sharma regained his batting form when he smashed a hundred against England in the ODI series, continuing the momentum he played with a good knock of 41 runs in just 36 deliveries on a slow and sluggish wicket in Dubai. Rohit’s aggressiveness provides crucial momentum to the Indian team and it provides other batters to get settled down on the pitch. In a conversation with JioStar, Yuvraj Singh said: “Rohit Sharma, whether in form or out of form, it doesn't matter to me. I would always back my match-winners. In ODI cricket, especially in white-ball formats, he has been India's biggest match-winner as a batsman, alongside Virat Kohli. If Rohit is struggling but still gets runs, that's dangerous for the opposition. If he's in form, he will score a century in 60 balls.” He further mentioned that the quality he possesses in his batting form is commendable, once he starts getting fours and sixes then no one can stop him from hitting those boundaries. He further added: “That's his quality—once he gets going, he's not just hitting fours; he's clearing the ropes with sixes. He is also one of the best players of the short ball. Even if someone bowls at 145-150 kmph, Rohit has the ability to hook it effortlessly. His strike rate is always between 120-140, and on his day, he can single-handedly win you the game.” Rohit Sharma has a stellar record against Pakistan in ODIs, he has played 19 matches and has scored 873 runs with two centuries and a batting average of 51.25, he will look to add some crucial and big runs to his tally in Sunday’s clash.
