After leading Royal Challengers Bengaluru to an important victory against Delhi Capitals, Krunal Pandya opened up about his mindset during the innings. Coming in at a tricky situation with RCB at 26 for 3, Krunal played a vital hand with an unbeaten 73 off 47 balls to guide the team home alongside Virat Kohli. "It's always good to get the result. Sometimes when you put in the hard work and it shows the result, it feels good," Krunal said after being named the Player of the Match. He also revealed his role during the chase, especially after losing three wickets. "My role was clear that if we lose three wickets, to stitch the partnerships because we have hitters down the order - Tim David and Jitesh." Krunal also credited Kohli for helping him settle down during a nervy start. "When Virat is there at the other end, it's always quite easy, I'll give credit to him. My first 20 balls were quite scratchy but he kept pushing me that 'you'll do it.'" While Kohli departed after making 47-ball 51, Pandya continued to attack along with Tim David to take RCB to the top of the IPL 2025 points table. "I want to keep the batters guessing": Krunal Pandya on bowling in IPL 2025 While Krunal made headlines with the bat, his contribution with the ball was equally significant. He returned economical figures of 1 for 28, continuing his consistent run with the ball. "I've always been an economical bowler, it's my 10th season. I've worked a lot on my bowling with my variations. I just want to keep my head down and continue this," Krunal said, reflecting on his bowling. He also spoke about the evolving nature of T20 cricket and the need for bowlers to stay ahead of aggressive batters. "(On bowling the bouncer) Batsmanship is getting better, and players are more fearless in the IPL, so you have to be one step ahead. I want to keep the batters guessing."
