India are now ready to tour Australia for three ODIs and five T20Is, and the hype surrounding the series is building up with each day. The series sees the return of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma in ODIs, and one can expect quality cricket over the duration of the tour. Aussies are famous for their tantrums and games of mind before major tours, and it has happened this time as well, starting off with a cheeky jibe at India. In a recently uploaded video on the official X handle of Kayo Sports, the popular pair who host the podcast called Grade Cricketer can be spotted in the company of Australian men and women cricketers. It begins with one of the hosts discussing India's anticipated arrival in Australia and how they have determined the weakness of the Men in Blue. The other one says that we all know Indians don't like old-fashioned greetings, indirectly mentioning the handshake spurning controversy between India and Pakistan in the Asia Cup. Indian players did not shake hands with the Pakistan players in the continental tournament following the Pahalgam terror attack and cross-border tensions between the two nations. Glenn Maxwell, along with his junior Australian member, arrived with an unexpected joining of hands. Mitchell Marsh contributed Travis Head's finger in the ice cup gesture. Alyssa Healy and Alana King, however, went along with 'healing hands' action, while Josh Hazlewood devised a 'shooter' act. All these were accomplished in light-spirit by Australian cricketers, and it is part of their preparation and games of mind prior to the India tour. Indian cricketers, however, would be hoping that they respond on the cricket pitch by winning the game and conclude with a nice warm handshake.
