On June 23, during India's second innings at Headingley, Harry brook asked if the lower order batter Prasidh Krishna could hit sixes. Even though Krishna replied cheekily to the question, he fell trapped trying to really go for a big shot. Right after the shot, Krishna replied with smile that, "If I had to, I would be called Brook." However, Prasidh Krishna’s dismissal came while attempting a big swing off Shoib Bashir in the very next ball. He went for a lofted shot against a length delivery pitched outside off, aiming to hit it with the turn across the line. However, he ended up skying the ball high towards midwicket. Josh Tongue, positioned at midwicket, tracked the ball well — covering significant ground towards his left, and diving low at the last moment to complete an excellent catch. The lower-order post Rishabh Pant failed again in the second innings. Unlike the first innings Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill failed to score big. It was all on KL Rahul and Rishabh Pant, who put on a show of a 195-run partnership. As Dinesh Kartik rightly described the partnership, it was classical music on one side and hip hop on the other. KL scored a poised century (137) runs off 247 balls, while Rishabh Pant played his trademark innings of 118 runs off 140 balls. For the English, Brydon Carse and Josh Tongue took 3 wickets each while Chris Woakes and ben Stokes took 1 each. Shoib bashir took two, the other name in his pocket being Rishabh.
