The U19 Asia Cup and U19 World Cup-winning captain shared that she resonates deeply with Kaur's leadership and playing style. In an interview with Business Standard, Niki Prasad spoke about why she looks up to Harmanpreet Kaur. "At different stages of my life, I have looked up to different players. But if I had to name one, I would say Harmanpreet Kaur. I resonate with her playing style and leadership role," Niki Prasad said. After missing out on the inaugural U19 World Cup, Niki Prasad made a remarkable comeback, leading India to a successful title defense in the next edition. "Winning the Asia Cup and then the World Cup, especially defending the title, made it even more memorable," she added. "Everyone in the DC camp is approachable, but if I had to name one, it would be Jemimah Rodrigues. Her energy is infectious, and she makes everyone feel comfortable," Niki Prasad said. At Delhi Capitals, Prasad shares the dressing room with Shafali Verma, who led India as the first U19 World Cup captain. She described meeting the Indian opener after the team's recent World Cup victory as a special moment. "Before I left for the World Cup, Shafali advised me to express myself and have fun with the team. After winning, when I met her again, the first thing she did was give me a big hug and tell me how proud she was of all of us for winning the title again. It was a special moment," Prasad added. With Delhi Capitals already securing a playoff spot, the team now awaits the results of the remaining matches to determine whether they will advance directly to the final or need to play the Eliminator.
