It is tough to do well with either bat or ball in T20 cricket. And even tougher with both. Running miles in the shortest format demands skill and consistency, and wickets demand control and sharp thinking. That is why just few players in men's cricket have managed to score 2000 runs and take 100 wickets in T20 internationals. Elite all-rounders achieve this rare double. The latest entrant, Mohammad Nabi joined this special list for Afghanistan, while India's Hardik Pandya is a step away from creating history. Only Three Players in Elite T20I Club So Far Currently, only three men's cricketers have crossed 2000 runs and 100 wickets in T20 internationals. The first player to achieve it was Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan. The experienced all-rounder reached the landmark in July 2022 during a T20I against West Indies at Windsor Park in Dominica. Shakib has been a key player for Bangladesh in T20Is for more than a decade. He now has 2,500-plus runs and 149 wickets in T20 Internationals. His numbers justify the fact that he is being touted as one of the all-time greats of this format. The second and third on this list is Afghanistan's Mohammad Nabi and Zimbabwe's premier all-rounder Sikandar Raza. Also Read | In which match did Hardik Pandya’s rise to success begin? Mohammad Nabi & Sikandar Raza Joined the Exclusive List Nabi accomplished this feat during a T20I tri-series game against Pakistan in Sharjah, where he claimed his 100th T20I wicket and entered the elite club. Apart from the wickets, Nabi has scored more than 2,200 runs for Afghanistan in T20 internationals. He is the leading run-scorer of his country in the format, and it goes without saying how big a role he has played in Afghanistan's rise in world cricket. The latest entrant in the list is Sikandar Raza, who achieved this rare feat on November 20, 2025 against Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi. Currently, Raza has scored 2883 runs and has picked up 102 wickets in T20Is and this figures shows his importance for Zimbabwe Cricket. With Raza's entry, the focus has now shifted to the next possible name in the list, which is Hardik Pandya. Hardik Pandya One Step Away From History The rare double is not out of the reach of Hardik Pandya. So far, the Indian all-rounder has scored 1,919 runs in T20 internationals and he needs just 81 more runs to cross the 2,000-run mark. He has grabbed 99 wickets with the ball in T20Is. He is just one wicket away from reaching a tally of 100 wickets in the format. If he achieves both feats, Pandya will become the fourth player in the world and first Indian to score 2000 runs and take 100 wickets in T20 internationals. ππππ-ππ ππΌππΏππΌ ππ π½πΌπΎπ ππππ πΌ π½πΌππ!π₯π₯π₯ pic.twitter.com/774lZanJCt — CricketGully (@thecricketgully) December 9, 2025 Hardik Pandya's recent form suggests that milestone could come very soon. In the opening T20I against South Africa in Cuttack, Pandya played a key role with both bat and ball. An unbeaten 59 with the bat and the important wicket saw him once again demonstrate his worth as an all-round player in T20 cricket. India still have four more matches left in the series, giving Pandya enough chances to reach the landmark.
