India won their second-ever T20 World Cup trophy after 17-long years under Rohit Sharma last year, hosted in the West Indies and the USA, where the team played as a unit and dominated the entire tournament. Recently, the ODI skipper of the Indian team shared some special moments post that win involving him and Hardik Pandya. Rohit Sharma admitted that without Hardik Pandya and his contributions, it would have been impossible to grab that trophy. He said that it was an emotional moment when Rohit kissed the all-rounder after that victory and called him ‘my man’. During the show, Rohit said: "This was an emotional moment. Hardik is my man, he did the job for me and the team otherwise we would've been sitting without anything in our hands.” Furthermore, Rohit said that the trophy was much-needed not only for him but for the entire team. He revealed that the squad, along with the coaching staff, went through planning, making strategies, and relentless efforts to win this trophy. He also said that players gave their best in the tournament with their efforts to seal this. He further said: "It meant so much to all of us, to that group. We'd experienced the heartbreak of coming so close and falling short. That's why it was special. We planned meticulously. We worked hard every single day, constantly thinking about how to win the World Cup. That's why every player's emotions came pouring out on that day." Talking about Hardik Pandya’s contribution in the tournament, he not only scored 144 runs while batting across the six innings that he played but also took 11 wickets at an economy rate of 7.64, including the dangerous wickets of Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller in the final match.
