Former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh has raised doubts about Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli’s participation in the 2027 ODI World Cup. He believes that with the tournament still far away, both players will need to assess their fitness, form, and hunger for the game before deciding whether to continue. "The only thing left for Rohit to achieve is the 50-over World Cup. He would probably want to win it, but there are still two and a half years to go. That’s a long time. He will have to see where his fitness is and how much he still wants it," Harbhajan said in an interview with ESPNcricinfo. He also compared Rohit’s situation to Kohli’s, stating that both players will have to put in the effort if they want to play in the World Cup. "If Rohit still has the hunger, he will need to work hard for it. If he does, he will play. The same goes for Virat Kohli," he added.
