Gujarat Titans batter Abhinav Manohar has expressed his desire to play for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in IPL 2025 so that he will get an opportunity to play for his home team. The 30-year-old batter has been associated with the Gujarat Titans since the debut of the franchise. Manohar is one of the dynamic batsmen in the country who plays pace bowling well; his different range of hard-hitting abilities has often impressed the fans in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He played some brilliant innings during Gujarat’s IPL victory in 2022. Manohar, who plays for Karnataka in the domestic tournament, has also played in the recently concluded Maharaja T20 Trophy, where he was one of the standout performers in the tournament. Manohar said: “Being a Bangalore boy, it would be nice to play for RCB. Over the past few years, we (GT) have played in Bangalore, but I haven’t got a chance to play, and I really wish that I had played, because I think I know this wicket pretty well, and it is a batting track, and it would be any batsman’s dream to play in Bangalore in the IPL because six-hitting is very easy, the ground is pretty small. I feel it would be great to play for your home side as well. Let’s see. I mean, auction dynamics are very funny, and you don’t know which team you’re going to go to. So I’m just hoping I get to go to a team which I get to play for, that’s all.” If the Gujarat Titans want to retain Abhinav, then they can do it for INR 4 crores ahead of the mega auction 2025, but if Abhinav comes to the mega auction, then he is going to be the buyer's favorite.
