In 2025 Indian Premier League, Prasidh Krishna has proved to be a great threat whenever he is fit and firing. He has taken his second four-wicket haul in the season and has now donned the Purple Cap. His latest performance came against Delhi Capitals (DC), the table-toppers and the most gripping team of the season so far. At Narendra Modi Stadium, Prasidh trumped the likes of Mohammed Siraj and Rashid Khan to bring down Karun Nair, KL Rahul, Axar Patel, and Vipraj Nigam. The sun shone brightly on that day, and while Ishant Sharma and Axar Patel struggled visibly, Prasidh charged in and smashed the deck hard for breakthroughs whenever Gujarat Titans (GT) skipper Shubman Gill turned towards him. With Rahul and Nair in form at the crease, a BIG score looked on the cards. But Rahul was sent back with Prasidh's fourth delivery. Nair batted well and seemed set for another huge innings until Prasidh lured him into a catch at third man after the ball was lifted by an extra bounce. Gill knew Prasidh had match-winning potential and hence saved him for the death overs. Prasidh was brought into the 18th—striking immediately by sending back DC skipper Axar Patel on 39, who was looking for a big finish. He completed his spell by knocking over Vipraj Nigam, who was sent back without scoring, thanks to a superb catch from behind the stumps from Jos Buttler.
