The former Indian captain MS Dhoni has been spotted attending an event sponsored by Asian sneakers, where Dhoni was heard referring to his knee pain to an audience while the latter asked him to continue playing for a few more years. MS who is currently with the Chennai Super Kings, is in his mid 40s (44) and has quite naturally been at the centre with his retirement rumours. Every year seems to be his final year, with crowds coming in large numbers, painting every stadium in all yellow, just to find him again on the field donning his keeping gloves. Fans go crazy in such an odd way that CSK seems to be the only team to celebrate their own players' dismissals, especially Ravindra Jadeja's, because Dhoni comes next after him. His international retirement came in a whimsical way, in 2020. He continued playing in the Indian Premier League, but his knee has been a recurring issue. He even underwent a key-hole knee surgery in 2023, but the issue seems to be lingering even now. Like he always says, he has enough to think about. He kept the thinking door open till December. And then he turned to the one from the audience shouting, "you have to play sir" and referred to his knee pain. MS was heard saying, "Khelunga ki nehi khelunga, I have time to decide... December ki as paas tak I have time. So I will take another couple of months of looking and then finally I will decide... Ghunto mein je dard hota hey, uska take care kaun karega (laughs)."
