The future of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 grows more uncertain as tension rises between the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). India has now formally declined to play in Pakistan, leading the ICC to explore alternative arrangements to keep the tournament on track. It is now being said that ICC may host the Champions Trophy in South Africa but only time will tell if that happens. Amid the CT 2025 drama, former cricketer Tanveer Ahmed has once again criticized India over their decision not to send the cricket team to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. His comments have further fueled tensions, echoing his ongoing pattern of controversial takes regarding India. The former Pakistan pacer stirred controversy with his remarks, stating that he would sooner place his trust in a donkey than in the BCCI or India, whom he considers untrustworthy. His outburst followed the BCCI’s announcement that India would not be traveling to Pakistan for the upcoming major event, citing security issues and political tensions between the two nations. Tanveer Ahmed wrote: “Bhai kuch log india say mujhe galiya dey rahe ha tou bhai jo bolna ha boltey raho tumhara BCCI ghatiya,ganda,jhoota or top ka doghla cricket board ha tum log par trust karney say behtar ha main kisi donkey par trust karlon ga." ( Translation - Brother, some people from India are abusing me, then brother, let them say whatever they want. Your BCCI is cheap, filthy, dishonest, and the top-notch double-faced cricket board, so it's better for me to trust a donkey than to trust you people and your board).
