Well, today, on his Instagram story, he thanked everyone for wishing him a speedy recovery. He even said that he is getting better every day. This is basically passing a small catheter through his arteries to check for any kind of internal bleeding, with the help of a monitor. However, the procedure is done in the operation theater only. Reports further said that Shreyas is unlikely to be fit for the upcoming ODI series against South Africa this November. He is likely to take around two months, and if things go well, the fans might see him back on the field for the New Zealand series starting on January 10, 2026. Notably, medical experts from both India and Australia collaborated to support his recovery process. While the Indian team returned home following the end of the series, the BCCI’s team doctor remained with him to oversee his treatment.
