People have been thinking that Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir have ill feelings among them due to their history of on-field confrontations. This started in IPL 2013, when both got involved in a heated exchange over the getting out of Kohli. Almost a decade later, a huge fight breaks out during an RCB vs LSG game. Neither of the players has indeed confirmed the feud. Both Kohli and Gambhir are very passionate, which sometimes leads to intense moments on the field. But that itself can't be considered proof of their bad relations. And the rumors finally ended with Kohli and Gambhir hugging at the 2024 IPL. Former India cricketer Piyush Chawla recently issued a clarification against speculation over a rift between Kohli and Gambhir. He shared an interesting story from the ODI World Cup 2023 that showed Gambhir’s respect for Kohli and cricket. Chawla said on Shubhankar Mishra's YouTube channel, "I and Gauti bhai were doing a show. A question was asked 'When Virat completed his 50th century, which bowled did he take the single off? I couldn't answer it, but Gambhir did it. And he's like 'Now don't say there's any tiff. Gauti bhai is all class. He is one of the best," On being made Team India's head coach, Gambhir spoke about his relationship with Kohli and rejected all the false rumors with disgust. "Good for the TRP, but my relationship is not public. What kind of a relationship I share with Virat Kohli... I think it's between two mature individuals," Also Read | Chennai to Roll Out Red Soil Pitch for India vs Bangladesh Clash in First Test
