The first batch has left on November 10, while the second will leave today. Rohit, even though is not travelling with the side, hasn't been officially ruled out of the Perth Test. Gambhir added, "There is no confirmation on Rohit as of now, hopefully he will play. We will let you know before the series." Regarding the position of Abhimanyu Easwaran and KL Rahul, Gambhir did make a comment. He hasn't cleared the air about who is going to open in absence of Rohit Sharma but stated their inclusion in the squad and assured to go for the best eleven. India will have an extended preparatory camp in Perth ahead of the series opener, where they will be joined by the India A squad for match simulations. Although a practice match was initially planned, the management decided it would be more beneficial to focus on center-wicket practice and simulations rather than playing a full fixture.
