The IPL 2025 tournament was concluded with a record victory for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). On June 3, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Rajat Patidar-led Royal Challengers Bengaluru defeated Shreyas Iyer-led Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 6 runs in the final and won their first-ever IPL title. Batting first, RCB scored 190 runs at the loss of nine wickets in their 20 overs. PBKS, in response, managed 184/7, falling short by just six runs. Virat Kohli scored a high of 43 runs for RCB, and Krunal Pandya delivered a match-winning spell of 2/17. He was also awarded the Player of the Match in the final. This victory was historic since RCB took 18 years to lift the IPL trophy. They were the eighth team to lift the IPL trophy. Virat Kohli was the driving force throughout the season, with 657 runs in 15 games. This was the eight season where the batting Maestro scored over 500 runs in a single IPL season.
