The Pakistan Super League is often the second choice for foreign players due to clashing with the Indian Premier League. A lot of top T20 players favor the Indian Premier League as it is the biggest league in the world. It seems the 2026 season is no different as a lot of the Australian top stars, such as Travis Head, Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Marsh are all busy captaining their respective sides in the IPL. However, a few Australian players are still set to play in the 2026 PSL for different reasons-some want to try and earn more opportunity, some missed out on the auction, while some are just trying to revitalize their T20 careers. The PSL 2026 season will start on the 27th March, and here is a full list of the Australian players that are participating. Full List of All Australia Players Who Will Participate in PSL 2026 Sam Harper Sam Harper had a very successful Big Bash League campaign this year. He scored 371 runs at an average of 61.83 and strike rate of 155.23 for the Melbourne Stars. Following this he was selected to play for Quetta Gladiators. He played for Karachi Kings in 2025. McDermott is a big top-order aggressive batsman, and will be aiming to hit some quick runs this season to try and make an impact for his new side. Steve Smith Steve Smith is a massive signing for the 2026 Pakistan Super League. Smith did not feature in this year's IPL competition and instead spent time as a commentator during 2025. Smith went unsold in the IPL 2026 auction, but decided he wanted to sign for PSL, where he will play for the Multan Sultans, this will be his first stint in the Pakistan Super League. Smith also sees the move as a way of trying to return to Australia's T20I setup with 2028 Olympic glory potentially in his sights. Aaron Hardie Aaron Hardie will be playing for Peshawar Zalmi in this year's league as a replacement for Rahmanullah Gurbaz, who withdrew from the tournament. Hardie has not made a big impact in franchise cricket so far and has played for the Punjab Kings in the IPL before without great success. Now, he is trying to get another chance to impress in the Pakistan Super League. Peter Siddle At 41, Peter Siddle is still playing some top level cricket, and has been a constant figure in the BBL over the years. The veteran pacer will be playing for the Multan Sultans this year, and was signed for PK R 2.2 crore. Siddle managed to pick up 16 wickets in the BBL this season in 11 games, and will surely still have the ability to pick up wickets for his side. The wicketkeeper batter has been an attacker in domestic cricket. He will hope he can transfer his domestic success onto the Pakistan Super League, and contribute to his side's chances of winning the tournament. Lachlan Shaw Lachlan Shaw is only 23, and is considered a top young middle order batter. The young talent has signed for the Multan Sultans for this season. But, with the strength of the Multan team, it might be difficult for Shaw to force his way into the starting XI. Ashton Turner Ashton Turner will captain the Multan Sultans in the 2026 competition. His campaign last year was a disaster for the former Perth Scorchers batsman, as he played only three games and failed to score more than 15 runs. The captain will hope he can make amends for last year and inspire his side to glory. The opening batter finished with 368 runs in 11 games at a strike rate of 153.97, and was the most expensive signing at PKR 79 million. He will be vital in this year's campaign as Karachi Kings try to make a push for the title. Max Bryant Last year, Max Bryant played for Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League, but this year the explosive opener will be playing for Islamabad United. Bryant had a disappointing season last year as he failed to score 50 in 5 games and had a strike rate of only 16.3. He will be looking to have a better year this season. Riley Meredith Riley Meredith will be playing his second Pakistan Super League in 2026, after being signed by the Islamabad United last season. He was part of the team for four games and managed to take four wickets at an average of 31 and an economy of 8.9. He will be looking to improve on last years form. He has been appointed captain of the Hyderabad Kingsmen, and this will be his first opportunity to play in the tournament. Labuschagne will be hoping he can put in some good performances with the bat and the ball to try and make a name for himself in T20 cricket. Glenn Maxwell Glenn Maxwell is undoubtedly the biggest name that will be playing in the Pakistan Super League 2026. Maxwell has played in the Indian Premier League consistently for many years, but it was confirmed before the mini auction he was dropped by the Punjab Kings and decided to skip the IPL to play in Pakistan. He will also be representing Hyderabad Kingsmen this year and this move has caught the eye of many people, they will all be wondering how he will perform in a Pakistan Super League tournament.
