The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) has made a unique announcement that will allow all ticket holders for the second T20I against England to avail the metro to the stadium for free. The five-match T20 series against England is all set to start on January 22, with the first match in Kolkata. The second T20I will be hosted in Chennai, in the MA Chidambaram Stadium. Tickets for the second match are sold out. And TNCA announced that the tickets will allow free metro rides to and from the stadium. The Chennai Metro Rail, in collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA), introduced free metro rides for ticket holders on matchdays during the IPL 2023 season. This initiative was designed to help reduce traffic congestion near the iconic stadium, which is located close to Marina Beach. TNCA, on their social media, wrote, “Match ticket holders can avail free metro rides for both up and down journeys." The bowling unit practiced with a wet ball on Tuesday evening to adapt to the expected dewy conditions during the match. Prior to the first T20I, captain Suryakumar Yadav said, “If we know there is going to be heavy dew, you start preparing with the wet ball. You bowl with the wet ball during practice sessions. You field with the wet ball. So, these are the things that are within your control. We try to control all those factors during practice sessions so that, when the game comes, we are prepared.” Following Kolkata and Chennai, India and England will travel respectively to Rajkot, Pune, and Mumbai.
