Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has advised that the chief of the Pakistan Cricket Board, Mohsin Naqvi, to resign from the post. Naqvi has been an integral part of the pakistan Government and is even serving as the President of the Asian Cricket Council. Afridi felt that Mohsin should resign from his roles in cricket. Afridi recalled Naqvi's incompetence in cricket and said that he should employ someone who knows the sport better. Pakistan is in chaos. after multiple frustrating performances in the past tournaments. The team has seen transitions in the players' unit with several coaches taking responsibilities but leaving in a short period of time. Afridi thinks Pakistan needs someone who can hold the team together. Speaking to Telecom Asia Sport, Afridi said, “My request or advice to Naqvi Saheb is that these are two very important posts, and they are big jobs that need time. PCB is totally different from the Interior Ministry, so it must be kept separate. It would be a big decision and should be taken as soon as possible. Pakistan cricket needs special attention and time… Naqvi cannot rely totally on advisers. These advisers are taking him nowhere and he himself says that he doesn’t know much about cricket. He needs to appoint good and competent advisers who know about the game."
