The Indian Premier League 2025 is already underway in fashion! RCB have overpowered KKR in the first match with a clinical run-chase and it was their greatest hero, Virat Kohli who rose to the occasion for his favorite franchise again. Virat Kohli was in vintage form with the bat as he dispatched KKR's target of 175 with ease with some exquisite hitting across the ground. He reached his fifty with a boundary too in the 13th over, and no sooner had he reached the milestone, a pitch invader ran all the way towards the batsman and fell on his feet in his grand act of love. The RCB and Indian star has often faced such pitch invasion and it shows how much he is loved by the cricket fans all over the world. Virat Kohli finally stayed unbeaten on 59 off mere 36 balls and struck 4 fours and 3 sixes in his innings. RCB finally chased down the target in the 17th over with 7 wickets remaining and completed a comprehensive demolition of KKR. Along with Virat Kohli, Phil Salt also came to the party and struck 56 in a flurry of 31 balls. In the first half, Krunal Pandya was the hero of the day with three vital wickets and assisted them in getting back into the game after Ajinkya Rahane's fifty. Overcome with emotion, he bowed down and tried to touch Kohli’s feet as a mark of deep respect. Kohli, known for his composure, was briefly taken aback but quickly regained his calm. He acknowledged the fan before signaling security to step in and handle the situation. Kohli acted professionally during the incident. He enjoyed the respect of the fan but never agreed with the kind of support this fan offered. Security officers attended to the fan and pulled him off the pitch to prevent more disruption. Intrusions by fans during IPL games have been a common occurrence. It is well understood to support cricketers like Kohli, but intrusions like this pose severe security risks. Security checks can now be improved by IPL officials so that incidents of this kind never happen again in the future.
