New Zealand all-rounder Hayley Jensen has announced her retirement from international cricket with immediate effect, bringing an end to an 11-year career that saw her represent the White Ferns in five ICC tournaments. The 32-year-old featured in a total of 88 matches for New Zealand — 35 One Day Internationals and 53 T20 Internationals — picking up 76 wickets across formats. Jensen was part of the New Zealand squad for the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2022 on home soil and participated in four ICC Women’s T20 World Cups — in 2014, 2018, 2020, and 2023. Jensen’s standout moment came during the 2020 edition of the T20 World Cup, where she was named Player of the Match for her three-wicket haul against Sri Lanka and ended the tournament as New Zealand’s highest wicket-taker with seven scalps.
