Speaking to SACricketmag.com, Gibbs revealed that he was supposed to fly on Saturday, ahead of the tournament’s start on March 10. However, with no communication from the organizers, he saw no point in traveling. He said, “Well, the league starts today, so I was meant to fly on Saturday … no point in going if they ghost you.” The lack of clarity and professionalism left Gibbs frustrated. He further expressed his anger, accusing the Tigers of using his name for publicity without making the necessary arrangements. He added, “Happy to use your image to advertise but can’t be bothered to do the rest.” Read also: India's Champions Trophy Triumph: A Story of Redemption Asian Legends League Kicks Off Without Gibbs Despite the controversy, the Asian Legends League 2025 began as scheduled in Nathdwara, Rajasthan.
