England Women's cricket has said goodbye to fast bowler Freya Davies, who has announced that she is retiring at the age of 29 to seek a law career. The Sussex-born pacer closed the curtains on a 15-year long professional career in domestic and international cricket. Davies contributed significantly to Sussex winning the County Championship in 2013 and featured in 86 games for the county in all. Her skill was continued in The Hundred, playing for London Spirit and Welsh Fire. In five seasons, she took 36 wickets in 37 games at a rate of 7.35. In the Women's Cricket Super League of 2019, she led the charts with 19 wickets.
