South Africa Women had a forgettable game against England Women in the ongoing Women's Cricket World Cup 2025. The match between the Proteas and Three Lions Women was played Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati, where England bowlers humiliated South Africa Women by bowling them out for just 69 and later chased the target with ease to win their opening clash in this tournament. This was South Africa Women's third lowest total in WODIs and Women's World Cup. In the past, the Proteas Women have been wrapped up for 51 and 63 against NZ and PAK Women in 2009 and 2019's World Cup respectively. However, the number of overs (20.4) played by them against England was the fewest overs in which South Africa Women have been bowled out in an ODI innings. the only team with a lower total in fewer overs in ODI history is Pakistan Women, bowled out for 27 in 13.4 overs in 1997.
