The England Cricket Board has announced 15 men squads for the 3-match ODI against India and the Champions Trophy 2025. Like the T20 squad, Jos Buttler will be leading the squad in both the series and the tournament. Harry Brook has been handed over the responsibility of the vice captain. Notably, both Brook and Jos Buttler are training in Kolkata now for the 5-match T20 series that will start on January 23 at Eden Gardens. Before heading for the Champions Trophy, the India tour will be a preparatory session for the England team. Speaking about the team, both squads are almost the same, except adding Joe Root to the Champions Trophy squad by replacing Rehan Ahmed from the ODI squad against India. Following the conclusion of the white-ball series, India and England will head to Dubai and Pakistan, respectively, for the Champions Trophy. The tournament is scheduled to begin on February 19, with the final set for March 9. India, led by Rohit Sharma, will kick off their campaign against Bangladesh on February 20, while England will take on their Ashes rival, Australia, in their opening match.
