Even after Bengal has been knocked out from the Ranji Trophy quarterfinals, Kolkata will not be deprived of the experience as Eden Gardens will host Mumbai and Haryana for the quarterfinal match starting on February 8. Earlier, Haryana's Lalhi was supposed to host the match. However, the weather conditions at Lalhi have forced the management to shift the venue. Even with Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal in their ranks, they were outplayed, allowing J&K to finish as group toppers. Haryana, on the other hand, dominated Group C, remaining unbeaten with three wins and four draws. They finished one point ahead of Kerala to claim the top spot. For the quarter-final, Mumbai will miss Rohit and Jaiswal, but Ajinkya Rahane can count on Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube, who recently played against England. Youngster Ayush Mhatre, with 446 runs, is expected to open in Rohit's absence. Haryana, led by their formidable bowling attack, will rely on Anshul Kamboj to trouble Mumbai’s batting lineup. With key players on both sides, this encounter promises to be an intense battle for a semi-final berth.
