On Wednesday, the Men’s Selection Committee unveiled the squads for the first round of the Duleep Trophy 2024-25, marking the start of the domestic red-ball cricket season. This prestigious tournament will showcase a blend of seasoned international players and promising young talent, all competing at the highest level. The Duleep Trophy is set to kick off on September 5, 2024, with matches scheduled in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, and at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. The event promises to be a thrilling start to India’s domestic cricket calendar, offering a platform for emerging stars to shine. This year, the BCCI has opted to eliminate the six-team zonal format and zonal selections. Instead, the Duleep Trophy will feature four teams: India A, India B, India C, and India D.
