It started after the overseas players of Durbar Rajshahi including Mohammad Haris (Pakistan), Aftab Alam (Afghanistan), Mark Deyal (West Indies), Ryan Burl (Zimbabwe), and Miguel Cummins (West Indies) took a massive step to boycott the tournament after they didn't get their desired salaries from the owners. These players are yet to receive their salaries while some of the players have only received their 25% of the total payment for this season - as reported by Cricbuzz. But as per the latest development, a new twist has unfolded. The team’s bus driver, Mohammad Babul, locked the kit bags in the bus and decided to not return them until they will clear out his payments. Speaking to the reporters, Babul said: “It’s shameful that we haven’t been paid yet. I’ve kept my silence for too long. Now, I’m speaking up—if they clear our payment, we will return the kits.” So far there has not been any official statement made from the franchise owner regarding the incident but the next move is awaited. Talking about Durbar Rajshahi’s performance in the BPL 2024-25 then they failed to make it to the playoffs this time with their poor and underwhelming performance.
