A cap worn by cricketing great Don Bradman of Australia is to be auctioned in Sydney on Tuesday, estimated to fetch up to US$260,000. It was the famous "baggy green" worn during the 1947-48 tour of Australia-the first-ever series by India after gaining independence. This is the only known "baggy green" Bradman ever wore during the series in which he made such a triumphant success of it, that he scored 715 runs off six innings at an average of 178.75, with three centuries and a double century. Bidding is expected to run between US$195,000 and $260,000 at the sale.
