There are reports that former Sri Lanka captain Kumar Sangakkara wants to leave Rajasthan Royals ahead of the 2025 IPL season. He was linked with the white-ball head coach job of England, but Brendon McCullum been named for the role. According to a Telegraph report on Wednesday, KKR is in talks with Sangakkara. The report further stated that Sangakkara is considering offers from several other franchises, too, and KKR can expect his decision in the coming days. Amid the reports, former Sri Lanka wicketkeeper-batter Sangakkara welcomed Dravid back to the team after nine years. Sangakkara said, "Rahul is one of the greatest players to have played the game, but what he has achieved over the past decade as a coach is extraordinary."
