India wicket-keeper Dhruv Jurel will miss another chance to captain the Central Zone in the current Duleep Trophy. The young player is nursing a groin injury, and had already missed the first match on account of the same reason. Rajat Patidar was appointed captain. Now, according to a report by the Times of India, the keeper will miss another one as well, which coincidentally is the semi-final against West Zone, on September 4. With that, UP keeper Upendra Yadav has replaced Dhruv Jurel. The second addition to the team is, Kuldeep Yadav was dropped from the team, owing to Asia Cup 2025 responsibilities, as Yash Thakur was given an opportunity. When it comes to the performance of the team, they were completely clinical in their quarter-final match against North East Zone. The side won on first innings lead, as they had scored 532/4 in the first innings. The star of the show was Danish Malewar, who hit his first double hundred in FC. Patidar also hit a century (125) in a short span of time in the first innings. In the second innings, Shubham Sharma hit a ton. Incidentally, the wicket was very flat, and chinaman Kuldeep remained wicketless in the whole match.
