The incident happened in the Lahore stadium during the Australia vs. England match when a fan was spotted with an Indian flag. Soon after that, the security personnel ran towards him, snatched away the flag, and dragged him out of the stands. According to a report from Zee Media, the fan was detained and later beaten by the security. Clarifying this, a source close to PCB said that it was done, as India is not touring Paksitan. A surprising mix-up occurred before the fourth match of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 when India's national anthem was mistakenly played instead of Australia’s. The blunder took place ahead of Australia’s clash with England, momentarily leaving players, officials, and spectators in confusion. The error was promptly corrected, and the Australian anthem was played before the match commenced. The incident quickly gained traction on social media, with fans reacting to the unexpected mishap.
