Delhi court has ordered a new investigation into a cheating case involving former cricketer and current head coach of the Indian cricket team, Gautam Gambhir. Ltd, H R Infracity Pvt Ltd., and U M Architectures and Contractors Ltd. have formed a joint venture, enlisting Gautam Gambhir as their brand ambassador. In addition to promoting the flats, Gambhir also served on the board of directors. However, buyers who purchased flats ranging from INR 6 lakh to INR 16 lakh soon discovered they had been deceived, as the project never commenced and lacked the necessary legal permits for construction. Frustrated by this situation, the buyers lodged a complaint against Gambhir and his associates. The court revealed that Gambhir had received a significant amount of money from the companies, surpassing his remuneration as an ambassador. Furthermore, his role as a board director during the project's promotion suggested his direct involvement in the fraudulent venture. Although Gautam Gambhir was initially released, the new investigation order will add further complexity to his legal issues. Gautam Gambhir is facing criticism after the Indian team suffered its first ODI series loss to Sri Lanka in 28 years. Additionally, the team recently ended a remarkable streak of 17 consecutive home Test series victories over the past 12 years by losing to New Zealand.
